Project Description

In partnership with Sun Hung Kai properties, Eclipse Hospitality Group took over the kiosk/café of Sky100’s observation deck and replaced it with Vista Café & Amuse Bar. Located on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre’s observation deck, Vista is a concept that presents an unmatched lunch & lounge experience complete with one of the best views of Hong Kong. A casual eatery by day and a slightly more upscale lounge bar by night.

After I created the name, in close collaboration with my team, I conceptualised & executed the design idea based off the meaning behind the name;  a pleasing view and the observation deck offering a 360-degree panorama of Hong Kong’s iconic Victoria Harbour, tranquil Rambler Channel, its iconic cable-stayed Stonecutter’s Bridge, Hong Kong International Airport, and Lantau Island.

True to its name, the brand identity’s final design features a clean & rounded font that adds a pleasing simplicity, an eye-catching & memorable circle, subtle usage of the hidden degree symbol ° and use of two colour menu aesthetics; warm grey for its Café menu during the day & a rich red for its Amuse Bar menu during the evening. The result has a timeless, season-less quality that complements Vista’s dual concepts.
