Hushup Social

Event Conceptualisation & Management

Project Description

 

The second pillar of my business development strategy at Hushup Events was to conceptualise an event that met the following criteria; not subject to cash sponsorship, cost-effective, not time-consuming nor labour intensive, and with an easy ROI.

 

Capitalising on Hushup’s database, loyal social media following & respective high turn-up rate, Hushup Social was born. Hushup Social is not about doing business or talking about work, but having a good time after working hours, meeting [like-minded] people, making new friends and enjoying a few very affordable drinks in some of the coolest Hong Kong venues.

 

The venue, the welcome drink and some finger food [and sometimes entertainment] were provided by the respective bar/restaurant in exchange to ‘getting access to our database’. The happy hour prices were limited to a certain time period and/or a certain drink. The concept provided the venue with the opportunity of securing revenue on non-peak operating days/hours while Hushup kept the ticketing revenue and/or percentage of the bar sales.
